How Happy Nook Began

My name is Priscilla Mazon, and Happy Nook began in my home as a small, nurturing program built around calm spaces, responsive care, and meaningful relationships. When I became a mother, I found it difficult to locate an early childhood environment that felt truly warm, grounded, and intentional—so I set out to create one.

I started small: an in-home program designed for meaningful relationships, small groups, and spaces that felt calm and natural. Over time, as I refined the program and connected with more families, I saw how powerful this approach was. Children thrived when they felt known; families felt supported when communication was strong; and a home-like setting created a sense of comfort that is often missing in early education.

Those early years shaped everything—what I value, how I teach, and what I believe children deserve. And as the program grew, so did the vision for what Happy Nook could become.

Our Next Chapter

Today, Happy Nook is expanding into a purpose-built early education center designed for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

The new center preserves everything that has defined Happy Nook from the beginning—warm relationships, intentional environments, and a commitment to treating every child as an individual—while adding the space, resources, and structure to serve more families in the community.

With dedicated classrooms, natural play spaces, and an environment created specifically for young children, the center represents the next step in bringing the Happy Nook philosophy to life on a larger scale.
