A warm, relationship-centered early childhood center on Fairfax Avenue — serving infants, toddlers, and preschoolers up to age 4. Reggio & Montessori inspired.
We started as an intimate in-home program. Every decision about our new center — the space, the ratios, the philosophy — reflects that founding spirit.
Consistent caregivers build secure attachments. Every child knows they belong here.
A brand-new center designed from the ground up — 3,300 sq ft of indoor classrooms and 2,200 sq ft of outdoor play areas, with natural materials throughout — wood furniture, open-ended wooden toys, and real objects that invite curiosity
Infants 1:3 · Toddlers 1:4 · Preschoolers 1:6

Calm, cozy, and intentional. Children feel safe enough to take risks, explore, and grow.
Each classroom is built for its age group — the right ratio, the right rhythm, the right environment for how children actually grow.

What began as a small, nurturing in-home program has grown into a beautiful early learning environment shaped by meaningful relationships and gentle, child-centered care.
We see each child as capable, curious, and whole. Through small ratios, patient guidance, and developmentally grounded experiences, we support every child at their own pace.
Real, open-ended materials that invite creativity and discovery.
Secure bonds with consistent caregivers are at the heart of everything.
Thoughtfully designed spaces that bring the outside in, every day.
Families are a child's first teachers — we honor that always.
Meet Our Founder
Founder
My name is Priscilla Mazon, and Happy Nook began in my home. When I became a mother, I couldn't find an early childhood environment that felt truly warm, grounded, and intentional — so I created one.
What started as a small in-home program built around calm spaces and meaningful relationships has grown into the center you see today. Every decision about this space — the ratios, the materials, the rhythm of the day — comes from years of watching children thrive when they feel truly known.
The families who trusted me from the beginning are still here. I hope yours will be too.
Spots are limited and filling quickly. The best first step is a personal tour — meet our founder, walk the classrooms, and ask every question you have.
We'll respond within one business day.

"We knew immediately upon touring that this was the place for us. Priscilla is extremely warm, communicative, and goes above and beyond. This place truly checks all the boxes — beautiful outdoor playspace, organic meals, small group size, and fun play-based learning. My son is excited to attend every day."
"We feel incredibly lucky to have found Happy Nook. It's a place where we have complete trust that our daughter is in the best hands. She is truly thriving, happy, confident, and fully bilingual — which has been amazing to witness. Priscilla is exceptional — kind, dedicated, and deeply caring."
"Our family has been with Happy Nook for three years — our first from 10 months until preschool, our second from 6 months and still going. Healthy homemade meals, a fantastic outdoor space, and genuine 1:1 attention. Our kids thrive, and we're completely at ease while they're in her care."
Choosing care for your child is one of the most important decisions you'll make. Here are the questions we hear most — and if yours isn't here, just reach out.

We draw from Reggio Emilia and Montessori philosophies — play-based learning, open-ended exploration, Montessori-inspired independence, and a calm, home-like atmosphere where children grow at their own pace.
We intentionally keep our groups small across every classroom:
• Infants (0–18 months): 1:3 ratio
• Toddlers (18–36 months): 1:4 ratio
• Preschoolers (2–4 years): 1:6 ratio
Small group sizes with additional assistants throughout the day. Small groups mean every child is seen, known, and cared for as an individual.
3,300 sq ft of thoughtfully designed indoor space plus 2,200 sq ft of outdoor play — built from the ground up for the youngest learners.
